An awful lot has changed so I put it under new games, but I got the inspiration from Euchre and made some HECKA twists!
Cards required (9-A of all 8 suits, plus 4 Hunters and 4 Travelers)
Suit Pairing (as indicated on each Hunter and Traveler)
Suit Pairing Abbrev
Planets/Spades P/S
Clouds/Hearts L/H
Acorns/Clubs A/C
Knives/Diamonds K/D
Played similar to Euchre with 2 teams of 2 players each, sitting across from each other.
Suit pairing is always considered (in both Trump and Non-Trump cards)
Twins are considered Trump (that is Hunters and Travelers of same color pairing as Trump)
Example: Ace of Knives beats Ace of Diamonds in any trick
Example 2: If Diamonds is lead, Knives follow suit
56 cards total. Deal out 1 card at a time to each player until 8 remain, flip top card for choosing trump.
Each player should have 12 cards to start each hand
Take at least 7 tricks to win 1 point, 9-11 tricks for 2 points, or all 12 tricks for 4 points that hand
If the team who calls trump does not get at least 7 tricks, the other team gets 1 point.
Any trick points are scored at the end of hand
A trick containing either Hunted Traveler is worth 1 point per Hunted
Any Hunted points are added to score immediately upon winning the trick
First team to 19 points wins (you can use a spare 8 + 11 to keep score)
It may be useful to use the Watcher and Arrows to identify trump each hand.
An arrow of trump color should point towards the chosen trump suit on the watcher card
Example Order for Card Rank when Knives are Trump*
