Every forum seems to have one of these... guess I get to be the one to kick it off this time. This is for anyone who wants to introduce themselves in a post rather than making a whole new thread for it. Nice to meet you guys!

I'm Nick Lamicela, but my internet friends call me Nupa. I used to hang out on the ZZT forums (back when those people made games) and the MSPA forums (back when those existed and people made games on them), and the Icehouse "Starship Captain" forums (who still make games and they're really cool), and now I'm here (and hopefully we'll make games).
I got my backer copy of the Heckadeck not too long ago but shh I'm not gonna play with it yet because I got one for a friend for Christmas and I'm trying to keep it a surprise, because of this I'm probably not actually going to play any Heckadeck games for a month or two. Waiting is hard!
I will say that the card games that seem to be most closely related to my family heritage are Kings on the Corner on my maternal side, and May I (aka Continental Rummy?) on my paternal side. My high school BFF's game is Palace, and my college BFF's game is President, and my favorite solitaire game is good old Klondike (aka Windows Solitaire). So I imagine I'll have a LOT of fun stuff to do with the Heckadeck once I stop being so hush hush about it.
My favorite non-card game is probably Zendo, followed by Ricochet Robots. I like puzzle games.

Well since someone's started one of these threads I may as well use it. I'm James, and currently trying to work out how to do a poker variant which isn't simply adding extra hand options but actually works on the same sort of probability curve as actual poker using the Heckadeck.
So far it's mostly just juggling ideas in my head, but I'm starting to put the numbers down and work out how to do different bits and pieces, and how they might affect the classic (and new) hand rankings.

Hi everybody! I picked up a Heckadeck at a brick & mortar store the other day, and I am very excited to start messing with it! I love game systems a lot, so adding a new module to use for prototyping is always exciting. My favorite game systems are Looney Pyramids, Pairs, and Piecepack. I'm looking forward to designing games with everyone.

I'd like to see a game that uses them together well. Maybe a Zarcana variant designed for large groups?

Hi all, Me and a mate backed the Heckadeck on Kickstarter in 2016 - but we haven't really started using the deck a great deal until the last month or two. For me growing up, there were always card games & board games played around the house (Scrabble, Uno, SkipBo, Phase 10, Monopoly, UpWords, etc.) as well as numerous games with an ordinary deck of cards. E.g. President, Vändtia, 500, Hearts, Oh Hell!, etc. - so when this kind of project first came around, it was amazing to see that someone had taken it to the next level and brought some fresh insight into the world of card games. I am a thinker (I like to plan/organise/analyse things), so coming up with variations on traditional card games is something that tends to come easily to me. Here's to new ideas and healthy discussion.

Hello Heckadeckers!!! I’m Lassie I just picked up the Heckadeck at WonderCon, Anaheim this weekend, and I can’t wait to explore all the awesome new card gaming possibilities! My family loves to play “peanuts”, which I’ve also heard called “nerts”, or “solitaire frenzy”, and many other things... I’m going to try and see about amping that game up a bit with my new heckadeck... I may need to get my hands on a few more decks for this to work though Anyway! Excited to start shuffling these bad boys! See you on the boards!

Just got a heckadeck at California Republic Con. I’m working on the odds for a “ten card stud” style heckadeck poker. Fuller house( king queen 3 of a kind and a beast). 7 of a kind. Deal four down and one up.

We played "Hecka 99" with 3 people, for 2 games each. Fun, sometimes fast paced. Good for kids and addition. Got the deck at California Republic Con in Merced ca.

Haldo! I'm Hālian. I live in Central Florida and just found out about the Heckadeck recently, spurring me to pick up a copy from the fulfiller, since Travis' store is down. I'me excited to see how many card games I can make a heckuva lot better!
