A variation on Texas Hold'em - I'm still trying to calculate the hand rankings, but these rules seem to work at the moment. If anyone wants to help work out the probabilities and check the rankings of hands then please do.
So far I've stripped out the talismans, omnihedrons, arrows, jokers and wheel from the deck. All other cards are present.
Thoughts, suggestions, questions, things I've missed more than welcome.
Order of play:
- Three hole cards to each player
- Initial round of betting including small and large blind
- Burn one, then five communal cards in the centre
- Second round of betting
- Burn one, one additional communal card
- Third round of betting
- Burn one, one additional communal card
- Fourth round of betting
- Burn one, last communal card
- Final round of betting
- Each remaining player makes the best seven-card hand they can from the eleven cards available
Card values I'm working with are:
0 A 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 B J Q K
With Hunter being equivalent to Jack of either suit
With Traveller being equivalent to Beast of either suit
Watcher is only usable as part of the Elder coven
Crone is only usable as part of the Coven
Hand rankings:
Elder coven (6-run royal flush and the Watcher)
Straight flush
Coven (6 run straight and the Crone)
Split straight flush (7 card run with suits matching Hunter/Traveller)
Seven of a kind
Six of a kind
Flush (7 cards on suit)
Split flush (7 cards matching suits of one Hunter/Traveller)
Straight (7 cards)
Five of a kind and a pair
Four of a kind and three of a kind
