So, I noticed that one entire side of my inner heckadeck box listed games that... don't exist. Anywhere. (that I can find). Not even on these forums.
So, I guess this is my call to all heckadeck players to start correcting this oversight. Starting with me and Planetary Rule.
Planetary Rule is a game for 2-8 players (though if you can get more, feel free to include them).
For a basic game, you will use just the eight 16-card suits (128 cards).
Deal three to five cards to each player, whatever your preference, so long as all players have the same number of cards. The objective of the game is to have the least number of cards in your hand at the end. The game ends when either all Planet cards have been played or one player somehow manages to have zero cards in hand.
Each round a player must, if possible, play one card from their hand and then draw one card from the deck. If either action is not possible the player does not take that action, but must still perform the other if they can. Usually this will be a player being unable to play a card but still drawing a card from the deck, but if the deck has run out and the game ending conditions have not been met, then game play continues without players drawing a card but still playing one if able.
When a player plays a card, they must either play it on an existing stack of the same rank (ex: zeroes, aces, or beasts) or begin a stack if it does not exist.
Planet cards may only be played on an existing stack, they may never begin a stack.
When a Planet card is played on a stack, no other player may play cards of that rank (i.e. when the Queen of Planets is played, no other player can play a Queen for the rest of the game).
If you wish to expand the game, you may include the remaining 32 cards. They will form an additional three groups consisting of Talismans and Travelers, Arrows and Hunters, and Jokers and Uniques (Omnihedron, Darkness, Crone, Watcher). These groups form their own stacks with the Planet/Spade Traveler, Planet/Spade Hunter, and the Watcher serving as the Planetary card for their group.
